Many J. Goss + Associates clients have relationships with public corporations. As a matter of course the Toronto-based communications group is now using the "Bloomberg Protocol" when reporting on Air Canada (
TSE:AC:B), Teck Resources Ltd. (
TSE:TCK:B) or Viterra Inc. (
TSE:VT)
There is no hard proof yet that using the official name of a company followed by a link to its stock quotation (15-minute time delay) makes any difference. But if it works for The Canadian Press, Bloomberg, Reuters, Dow Jones and other prestigious news sources it stands to reason it can help the rest of us.
Besides it costs nothing and is easy do.
Going forward it's: "IBEW members maintain critical safety systems for the Canadian National Railway Ltd. (
TSE:CNR) and Canadian Pacific Railway Co. (
TSE:CP)" or "Consumer groups oppose an even bigger Bell Canada (
TSE:BCE)."
